In order to effectively reach out to the Asian-American community, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) is taking proactive steps to identify and meet the traffic safety needs of the Asian Pacific Islander (API) community. One of these steps is to take part in API community events and celebrations. These include, but not limited to:
- Chinese (Lunar) New Year
- Asian-American Expo
- Lotus Festival
- Dragon Boat Festival
- China Expo
- Filipino Expo
- Japanese Expo
- Lunar Moon Festival
