CHP Explorers - Qualifications

Exploring is designed to provide young adults the opportunity to experience a
career in law enforcement by working side-by-side with officers.

Minimum requirements to become a CHP explorer include:

• Age: between 15 - 20 years
• School: "C" (2.0) grade point average
• No drug or alcohol use
• No felony convictions
• Good citizenship
