The California Highway Patrol is proud to announce their 75th Anniversary in 2004. Through these web pages you can learn about the HISTORY of the CHP, how and when the Department was started and why. Going to the MILESTONES of each decade spotlights significant events that continued to help shape the Department. The 30th ANNIVERSARY OF WOMEN OFFICERS pages salute women officers for 30 years of dedicated service. HOW THE CHP HAS EVOLVED will focus each month on a different part of the CHP.
