CHiP's Facts for Super Bikers

Cover of brochure - CHiP on a unicycle

Walk across busy streets - sidewalks are for walkers - use hand signals

Read and obey traffic signs - check your bike's parts - always wear a helmet

Whenever you come to a busy street,
get off your bike - and trust your feet.

A bike, like a car, should drive in the street.
The use of the sidewalk is reserved for our feet.

Drive on the right side wherever you go,
but stay close to the curb - it's safer, you know.

Give others a signal before you turn or stop.
Use both hands while turning and don't take a flop.

Know the signs...

The traffic signs and signals were put here to protect you. Read and obey them like good drivers do.

Remember to check:

  • handlebars
  • seat
  • tires
  • pedals
  • reflectors
  • spokes
  • chain

And always wear a bicycle helmet! It's the law!
