PSD Christie Jones
As a child Christie Jones was raised at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, and then moved to Vacaville to attend middle and high school. She graduated from Will C. Wood High School in 1994 and pursued a career in the medical field. She worked as a medical assistant for over five years, then decided she wanted a more challenging career.
In 2000, Christie started her challenging career with the California Highway Patrol, working at the Golden Gate Communications Center in Vallejo. She enjoyed dealing with the public and loved the excitement of handling the radio and began to train newly hired dispatchers within the Communications Center. In 2005, Christie accepted an administrative position at the CHP Academy as an Instructor, and trained dispatchers from Dispatch Centers throughout the State. Christie enjoyed the many opportunities the CHP Academy provided.
Christie missed the excitement of working the busy Bay Area radios and transferred back to the Golden Gate Communications Center where she is currently involved in the Training Team. Christie was recently successful in the promotional examination to become a Public Safety Dispatch Supervisor I.
