CHP TO SWEAR IN MORE THAN 100 NEW OFFICERS

 

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will graduate 117 new officers on Friday, December 16, in a ceremony at the CHP Academy in West Sacramento.  The graduating officers have completed 26 weeks of intense training in preparation for providing communities throughout California with the highest level of Safety, Service, and Security.

 

CHP Commissioner Amanda Ray will be accompanied by members of her executive team and Academy commander, Captain Robin Johnson, for an inspection of the cadet class prior to the graduation ceremony.  Upon graduation, the new officers will serve in communities throughout California.

Family and friends of graduating cadets.

 

WHEN:          Friday, December 16, cadet inspection is at 8:30 a.m., followed by the graduation ceremony at 10 a.m. in the gymnasium.

 

WHERE:       CHP Academy, 3500 Reed Avenue, West Sacramento.

                    

VISUALS:     Commissioner Ray will administer the oath of office to the graduates, and cadets will be presented with awards for academic excellence, marksmanship, athleticism and inspiration.  Following the ceremony, family members will pin badges on the newly sworn officers.
