Drug Recognition Evaluator Program

Welcome to the Drug Evaluation and Classification Program (DECP)

The California Highway Patrol is the State Coordinator of all DECP training for the State of California. These training courses include: Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE), Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) and Drug Impairment Training for Educational Professionals (DITEP). The courses are facilitate through a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
