Purpose of the APP

The purpose of the Applicant Preparation Program (APP) is to prepare California Highway Patrol applicants and their families for success during the hiring process. This includes the steps you can expect along the way, help with the Physical Abilities Test (PAT) and the Written Exam, as well as life in the Academy.
