The Mojave Area encompasses the eastern Kern County communities of Tehachapi, Rosamond, Mojave, California City, Boron, Ridgecrest, and Inyokern, as well as small portions of San Bernardino and Tulare Counties. The Area is a part of Inland Division, headquartered in San Bernardino.
The Mojave Area also serves as the host Area for the Cache Creek and Keene scale facilities. The Mojave Area is well known for its mild winters, high winds, and great off-road trails. Additionally, the world renowned Pacific Crest Trail traverses through our mountainess backyard. Mojave is home the the Mojave Air and Spaceport, where Spaceship One completed the first manned private space flight in 2004.
We offer a number of programs aimed at keeping the public safe on the highway. These programs range from how to properly install a child safety seat, to teaching new drivers how to navigate the challenges of the road.
