The California Highway Patrol (CHP) Baldwin Park Area is proud to serve the East San Gabriel Valley providing Safety, Service, and Security to thousands of commuters and tourists each day.
As part of the CHP’s Southern Division, our station patrols Interstate 10, Interstate 605, Interstate 210, State Route 210, State Route 60, State Route 57, State Route 71, State Route 39, as well as hundreds of miles of unincorporated county roadway, and serves over 770,000 residents within its area of responsibility. We offer a number of programs designed to keep you safe on the road and on the highway. The Baldwin Park Area’s uniformed personnel are comprised of 104 officers, 10 sergeants 2 lieutenants. Our non-uniformed personnel consists of 9 clerical employees, 1 office supervisor, 2 auto technicians, 1 janitor and 1 maintenance employee. The Baldwin Park Area is also home to 10 civilian senior volunteers who assist our uniform and non-uniformed personnel. Every member’s mission is to provide the highest level of Safety, Service, and Security to the communities we serve and the motoring public that commute through our area of responsibility. Our Department’s Mission is to:

Our Mission is attained through proactive and focused enforcement as well as traffic safety programs designed to educate the public. As you will learn in this website, our agency has a wide variety of programs to keep you and your family safe all focusing on accident and injury prevention. These programs educate new drivers, those who are still driving in their later years and everyone else in between. We can even assist those who are starting a family with car seat education/installation by one of our car seat technicians. Our officers investigate hundreds of collisions each year and make thousands of enforcement contacts. It’s through education that we can prevent meeting in unfavorable circumstances.
