The California Highway Patrol Visalia Area is proud to serve the residents of Tulare County by providing safety, service, and security. As part of Central Division, our office patrols State Route 99, State Route 198, as well as over 2200 miles of unincorporated county roadways; serving over 450,000 residents of Tulare County. Along with traffic enforcement and motorist assistance, we supervise the Tulare County Reduce Auto Theft Task force (TRATT) and provide officers for several multi-agency task forces combating gangs and drugs. We officer a number of programs aimed at keeping you safe on the roads and highways. Contact our office for information on how to safely install a child restraint seat, teach new teen drivers the challenges of the road, or learn tips for driving during the night, fog, and rain. In addition to our traffic enforcement and safety programs, we have an Explorer Program for youth ages 15-20, and a Senior Volunteer program for those folks age 55 and over.
