The California Highway Patrol (CHP), Moorpark Area office, is located in the city of Moorpark, Ventura County, in the Moorpark PoliceServices Center building. Opened in 2005, the Moorpark Area is one of few CHP offices to be cooperatively housed in the same facility with another law enforcement agency, the Moorpark Police Department. CHP Moorpark Area officers patrol approximately six hundred and fifty linear miles of freeways, state routes (SR), and unincorporated county roads including US-101 from the Los Angeles County line to Camarillo Springs Road, SR-23 from US-101 and SR-118 from the Los Angeles County line to SR-34. The Moorpark Area also covers many unincorporated areas of Ventura County, such as Oak Park, Newbury Park, Lynn Ranch, Somis and Piru to name a few. Our Area’s boundary covers a combination of large urban areas, expansive agricultural production zones, and both urban andrural residential communities with diverse socioeconomic populations. Agriculture, pharmaceutical and film production are the area’s leading industries.
The CHP Moorpark Area strives to provide the highest level of safety, service, and security to the people of California. Please contact our office for further assistance. Thank you for visiting our page.
