The California Highway Patrol San Diego Area consists of twelve different freeways covering over three hundred miles encompassing the cities of San Diego, Chula Vista, and National City. San Diego CHP also patrols the unincorporated communities of Bonita, Otay Mesa, Lincoln Acres, and 4S Ranch. We offer numerous programs aimed at keeping you and your family safe on the San Diego highways. You can help us by wearing your seatbelt, obeying the posted speed limits, leaving enough space between you and the car ahead of you, using turn signals, and being courteous to your fellow San Diegans.
