The Mission Grade Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility (CVEF) is a Class “B” commercial vehicle enforcement facility which operates nineteen hours per day, five days a week, Monday through Friday, closed on weekends and holidays. As part of the CHP’s Golden Gate Division, the Facility is located on Interstate 680, four miles north of the city of Fremont in Alameda County. Mission Grade also staffs and supervises the eastbound and westbound Livermore Platform Scales.
The Livermore Platform Scales are Class “D” platform scales which are located approximately twenty-five miles from the Mission Grade facility on Interstate I-580 within the City of Livermore. Due to the large volume of truck traffic, the Livermore scales are open twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven days a week.
