The Susanville Communications Center is located just outside the city limits of Susanville in Lassen County. The communications center handles CHP radio and telephone communications for all or portions of Modoc, Lassen, Plumas, Sierra and Tehema counties for the Alturas Area, Susanville Area, Quincy Area, Chester Resident Post, Portola Resident Post and Greenville Resident Post.
The Susanville Communications Center staffing levels consist of two Public Safety Dispatch Supervisor I’s (PSDSI) and twelve Public Safety Dispatchers (PSD). The PSDs currently work a 12 hour shift alternate work week (AWW) program, with alternating Wednesdays off.
