Oroville Explorer Post 240 was established October 01, 2014. Since its
inception, the Explorer program has provided young men and women an opportunity
to participate in the inner workings of the CHP, and enjoy the camaraderie of
being part of an organization dedicated to public service. Through the program,
participants attend training sessions, work in the CHP office, ride along with
patrol officers, participate in community events, and attend Explorer
competitions. All of this is geared to instill leadership, commitment,
integrity, and responsibility to young men and woman, and better prepare them to
meet the challenges of the future.
The Oroville Area Explorer Post is
continuously seeking motivated applicants for the program. For further
