CHP Explorer Post 730 is actively seeking and recruiting motivated individuals in our community who may be interested in becoming CHP Explorers. The Explorer Program provides an opportunity to see the inner workings of the CHP. The program is facilitated by California Highway Patrol Officers who provide instructional guidance to the Explorers. It’s a unique and challenging opportunity that allows youths between the ages of 15-21 to be an integral part of the Department's operations and experience what a career in law enforcement entails. Explorers attend weekly meetings and training sessions, work in the CHP office, ride along with patrol officers, participate in community events, and attend Explorer competitions nationwide. All of this is geared towards preparing them for a successful career in the Law Enforcement
